App Lab – Meta’s official answer for non-store content (February 2021)
Oculus App Laboratory is the program Meta uses to circulate content beyond the Oculus Store. This allows users to easily mount non-Store articles on their Goal headsets.
Iphone app Lab functions like a sideloading system, although doesn’t oculus app content require designers to submit their content meant for review and approval. Instead, developers can easily send users unlisted iphone app links, from which they will add this great article to their Goal library.
The app can be described as beefed-up type of the one released to get Oculus Choose, and it includes over you million “VR videos” that enable you to look around in 360 degrees. Although of them not necessarily very thorough, they’re nonetheless a cool way to have VR without spending a lot of time in the headset.
Parent Supervision – Parents can control their teens’ use of the Quest by allowing parental guidance from the Ouverture companion app on iOS devices. The app lets you monitor all their activity, notice a list of most activities, and manage settings.
Content Guidelines – Oculus’ content recommendations apply to the two App Laboratory and the Ouverture Shop, so it’s critical that your applications and online games adhere to all of them. Oculus incorporates a very stringent curation insurance plan and just isn’t going to approve something that doesn’t satisfy their specifications.
